MTB PRIME X

I have played the MTB-X for years and loved it. I tried the new MTB PRIME X a few months back and had a problem with the cover. It didn’t last like the old ball. Too scuffed after only a few holes. I heard they improved the cover since the first batch, so I tried the new MTB PRIME X. Now it’s just as good, if not better, than the MTB X ball. In the past week I played 3, 18 holes rounds with the same ball. Ball is still playable but I think I’ll go to a new ball. The performance is great, too. I’m a former Pro V1X player who got tired of paying $50 a dozen. The MBT PRIME X is as good a ball as a Pro V1X.

For the past four years, I opted to play the Vice Pro and Vice Pro Plus over Titleist ProVI and ProVX, even TaylorMade TP5, because of the prices. I found a Snell golf ball while playing, and I immediately thought of Blake Snell the MLB pitcher. I thought I would try it out. I can always tell if the golf ball is good by the time of sound I get when I hit it with my fingernail. If it's too hard a will make a distinctive sound, if it's too soft, it will have another sound, but when it's just right the sound is not too hard or too flat. Snell past the test so I tried it. I really liked the feel of it, better than the Vice balls, and ordered a dozen of the MTB Prime X. I played a round yesterday and noticed they don't scuff as easy, and I get a good solid sound when I hit it with the driver and irons. I plan to order some more in the near future. I'm very happy with the results as a single-digit handicapper.
