FAQ
-
MTB Black LTD is the flagship of Snell's Heritage Tour Series — a premium three-piece golf ball with a cast urethane cover, built for feel and control where scoring happens: 100 yards and in. It's the return of one of the most requested balls in Snell history, rebuilt by Dean Snell with premium cast urethane construction. It also features our original logo, reserved only for our cast urethane models.
-
PR3 and PR4 use a TPU-X urethane cover and are built for maximum value and broad appeal. MTB Black LTD uses premium cast urethane — a step up in cover construction. It's not a replacement for PR3 or PR4; it's the highest expression of feel and performance in the lineup, often preferred by leading players.
-
Cast urethane is the benchmark cover used in many of the most recognized premium tour balls in golf. It delivers a level of feel, greenside spin, and control that's difficult to match with other cover types — which is why it's central to what MTB Black LTD is built to do.

Love this new ball!! Has the feel, distance and appearance of a ProV1 without the expense! Only wish it was made in yellow.

Ball performed as advertised, for a much better price point than the big guys.

You know Dean, when I first started playing the MTB back whenever they originally came out, 2015 I think, it was absolutely the best I had ever played.
I am so glad you brought them back!!
I gave a box of them to a friend who is now switching from his former brand to yours!
They feel great, they fly great, they stop well. Love them. Thanks!!! so glad they are back.

My first order earlier in 2026 was to try the PR4 balls and I was very pleased with their overall performance and length off the tee!
Then, I decided to give the MTB BLACK LTD balls a try and really prefer the softer feel and enhanced green side spin control. Did NOT lose any distance off the tee either! This was my 3rd order and mostly MTB BLACK LTD! Keep up the great work Snell team!
