I have bounced between the 3.0 and 4.0. When our weather warmed up recently I started playing the 4.0. I feel like these give me more distance, up to a club longer. OK, that coincides with me playing in warmer weather so who knows? I used to feel that these were too firm on short game shots and putting. I don't really notice that anymore. I get a lot of questions about them from my playing partners, some of whom have started playing Snells. I just ordered some PR3 and 4's so I'm excited to compare them to these.
The 4.0 and 3.0 do get cover scuffs, which might be normal for urethane covers. The new balls say added durability so we shall see. Be that as it may, I get a round out of almost every ball and play over 200 rounds per year, so you cannot get a better price on a ball of this quality. I play in local and state tournaments as well as 6 golf leagues and I never feel at a disadvantage playing against much more expensive balls.

Got 4.0 after test pack. Great spin around greens. Good feel on putting. Some roll out distance loss but overall great ball. Have 4 dozen so will get familiar with them.

I must say that after using the Prime 3.0 I didn't expect the 4.0 to be better but it defintely is!
Pretty good distance off the tee, long off the irons and not too much spin with the wedges which was exactly what I was looking for. The prime 3.0 still gave me too much spin the with wedges but these 4.0 has exacly the amount of spin I wanted.

Just got back from Myrtle Beach! 4 rounds. Was really impressed by the feel. Had been playing PV1’s for years and the Snell measured up! Sticking with Snell.

I bought the yellow for visibility during our dormant season. I'm very pleased with the length off the tee. I've noticed that I'm a little farther down the fairway by about 5 to 10 yards. With that said, the spin around the greens with chips is a little less. A very good give-take relationship.
