FAQ
-
MTB Black LTD is the flagship of Snell's Heritage Tour Series — a premium three-piece golf ball with a cast urethane cover, built for feel and control where scoring happens: 100 yards and in. It's the return of one of the most requested balls in Snell history, rebuilt by Dean Snell with premium cast urethane construction. It also features our original logo, reserved only for our cast urethane models.
-
PR3 and PR4 use a TPU-X urethane cover and are built for maximum value and broad appeal. MTB Black LTD uses premium cast urethane — a step up in cover construction. It's not a replacement for PR3 or PR4; it's the highest expression of feel and performance in the lineup, often preferred by leading players.
-
Cast urethane is the benchmark cover used in many of the most recognized premium tour balls in golf. It delivers a level of feel, greenside spin, and control that's difficult to match with other cover types — which is why it's central to what MTB Black LTD is built to do.

Customers say this golf ball delivers excellent distance off the tee with impressive greenside spin and control. Many reviews highlight the soft feel across all clubs and consistent performance from driver through putter. Frequent comments praise the ball's stopping power on approach shots and its ability to hold greens. Users appreciate the lower ball flight and responsive short-game performance, particularly with wedges. Several reviewers compare it favorably to premium competitors at a better price point. Most note the durable cast urethane cover. A few mention preferring the PR4 for added distance, and one reviewer found the ball too firm for their swing speed.

Really nice feel and definitely give me the bite around the greens. Really love all the Snell balls. Can’t be beat.

I wanted to give Snell a try so I bought one box to see what they were all about. I have only been playing for 1 year but I am super addicted and have learned a lot in a short time. I have played around 100 days some 9 some 18. I have bought lots of balls lol and these are among the top so far. They seem to have more distance and nice flight patterns. I do think they are a bit soft casting and they scuff pretty easily but that also makes them great around the green. I will definitely try the other models from Snell and more than likely get another box of these limiteds.

I have tried various Snell models, and this is by far the best, comparable to the Pro V1 series at a modest price. I hit it farther and straighter, and I can stop it on the greens!

I don’t normally find that much difference between different brands until now! This ball is longer yet spins on approach shots. Call me happy !
